Doc. Ing. Lubor Lacina, Ph.D.

University lecturer -- associate professor.

Jean Monnet Chair -- specialist in the area of monetary union and EU policies

Researcher and author of more than 120 publications themed on EU and Euro zone.

Fields of study: European Monetary Integration, EU budget, European Economic Integration

Courses taught -- Principles of European Economic Integration, Theory of Economic and Monetary Integration.

Role in the project: Intellectual leader of the project, leader of the team, tutor and senior lecturer, Head of the scientific committee of the conference, member of the organizational committee of the conference, supervisor and editor in chief of the publications, which will be created in frame of this project. He is responsible for the monetary policy analysis. He also teach in several courses specified below and will be responsible for integration of Ph.D. and post -- doctoral student to the team. He develops the transnational contacts with other JM Chair in the region. As a member of Euroteam in the Czech Republic he further develop already existing co-operation with Delegation of EC in the Czech Republic (contact person -- Jan Michal -- head of representation). He coordinate the project, project outputs and co-organize all the events. He ensure administrative work. He is in charge of developing the European policy think-thank.

Mgr. Jan Hodač

Fields of study: EU presidency, EU Geography, Political Economy of eurozone crisis, international policy making, international relationships

Courses taught --Principles of European Economic Integration, EU Geography

Role in the project: He co-organizes all the events. He helps ensure administrative work. He is responsible for communication with students and organization of events for students. He will also teach in several courses specified below. He is be in charge of international cooperation.

He is also in charge of developing the European policy think-thank.

Doc. Ing. Svatopluk Kapounek, Ph.D.

University lecturer -- associate professor. Member of Research Centre and one of the founding furthers of Economic circle, which is putting together young research from faculty of economics and also developing Ph.D. student's research and econometric capacity.

Role in the project: Svatopluk Kapounek is expert on EMU monetary policy and business cycle analysis. His habilitation thesis was on evaluation ECB monetary policy. He is responsible for coordination of research and publication activities within JM Centre of Excellence framework and also for communication and cooperation with other Centres in EU10 countries.

Ing. Petr Rozmahel, Ph.D.

University lecturer -- assistant.

Head of the Research centre at the Faculty of Business and Economics MENDELU in Brno

Fields of study: Economic growth, Macroeconomics, Business Cycle

Courses taught -- Macroeconomics I and II

Role in the project: Petr Rozmahel is in charge of organizational committee of the annual scientific conference and member of its scientific committee.

Prof. Antonin Rusek

Antonin Rusek is the Associate Professor of Economics at Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, USA. He specializes in international economics, with emphasis on European economics. He often presents his work at international conferences both in Europe and the USA, and is the author of numerous papers in a variety of economic subjects.

Role in the project: Prof. Rusek's role in the project is the consultancy, external review of project outputs and participation at the meetings of developing think-thank. His experiences is helpful especially for formulating the recommendations in papers (outputs of the paper) etc.

Roman Chlupaty

Roman Chlupaty is graduate from City University (UK) at Erasmus Mundus Masters programme: Journalism and Media within Globalization, Business and Finance. Since June 2007 he is Business and Economics Editor at Radio Cesko Cesky Rozhlas. Previously he was also Business and Economics Editor at Cesky Rozhlas 1 Radiozurnal and Business and Economics Editor at Lidove noviny.

Role in the project: Roman Chlupaty is one leading journalist covering the topics concerning EU integration and eurozone crisis. He helps to disseminate the results of the project to public and private media.

Mgr. Lucie Tunkrová, Ph.D.

Lucie Tunkrová is graduated from Miami University, Ohio, in International Relations, and from Palacky University in Olomouc, in Politics and European Studies. She obtained her PhD in Political Science from Palacky University in December 2006. She also studied at the University of Limerick, Ireland, and worked as a stagiare with the European Commission (Directorate-General for Agriculture, unit enlargement). She is currently a lecturer at Fatih University, in Istanbul. Her field of specialisation is European integration with a special focus on enlargement and theories of the EU's decision making processes. Her recent era of interest is the process of Europeanisation in Turkey.

Role in the project: Lucie will be author of one of the proposed policy papers and chapter in proposed monograph concerning impact of Turkey EU membership on EU budget. She will also help to disemintae the outputs of the project in form of the teaching activities in non-EU Member State (Turkey).

Ing. Pavel Žiaran

University lecturer -- assistant. (Ph.D. students)

Courses taught -- Public finance II, Principles of European Economic Integration, Theory of Economic and Monetary Integration

Role in the project: Pavel Žiaran is teaching several courses within the project and is the specialists in the area European economic integration.

Ing. Klara Plecita

University lecturer -- assistant. (Ph.D. students)

Courses taught -- Public finance II, Principles of European Economic Integration, Theory of Economic and Monetary Integration

Role in the project: Klara Plecita is teaching several courses specified below and will be one of the specialists in the area of monetary and fiscal policy within the EU.

Ing. Ludek Kouba, Ph.D.

University lecturer -- assistant.

Fields of study: Economic theories, Macroeconomics, World Economic Development

Courses taught -- Macroeconomics I and II, History Of Economic Theories, Reforms of Czech economy

Role in the project:  As expert in the area of economic theories and macroeconomics Ludek Kouba helps to develop economic background model for European economic union. He also helps with the theoretic foundation and comparison of various economic models of federalization of economic policies.

Mgr. Ing. Jan Prenosil, Ph.D.

University lecturer -- assistant.
Fields of study: EU, Public administration, Transfer of technologies.
Courses taught -- Public administration, Principles of European Economic Integration, The Technology and Innovation Transfer Support
Since the 2003 he is lecturer and trainer in the area of Regional and Structural policy of the EU, with special focus on Structural funds of the EU. (He lectured the official of several ministeries, regions or cities)
Role in the project: He helps to coordinate the project, project outputs and co-organize all the events.

Ing. Michal Castek, Ph.D.

Head of the EU Budget Unit, Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic

Dr. Castek is very experienced expert in the area of European budget administration at the national level, he is involved in to the negotiations of the future Financial perspective and participates on the EU Council meetings.

Role in the project: Dr. Castek's role in the project is the consultancy, external review of project outputs and participation at the meetings of developing think-thank.

Prof. John Forrer

Prof. Forrer is the Associate Director of the Institute for Corporate Responsibility and Associate Research Professor of the Strategic Management and Public Policy at the George Washington University.

Role in the project: Prof. Forrer is an expert in the field of corporate responsibility (what is clearly linked to the attitude of private investors to invest in the public bonds and EU officials to develop the proper rules and legislation) we see his role in consultation of project-outputs and co-authoring of papers and other outputs.

Petia Kostadinova, Ph.D.

Dr. Kostadinova is the assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Department of Political Science. Dr. Kostadinova was holder of one Jean Monnet Teaching Module course.

Her field of interest are comparative politics, comparative political economy, East European Politics, and the European Union.

Role in the project: Her role is to contribute to the analysis and comparison of EU and US fiscal and budgetary policy, which should help to formulate the recommendations and inspiration for the EU legislators.

Marian Kristel, PhD.

Marian Kristel is graduate from University of Economics in Bratislava. He obtained his PhD. in Finance at the University of Economics in Bratislava. He also studied at the Nottingham Trent University. His field of specialisation is EU budget with a special focus on expenditures.

Role in the project: His role is to contribute to the analysis of EU budget expenditures; he will be a co-author of one of the proposed policy papers.

Doc. Ing. Kornélia Beličková, PhD.

Kornélia Beličková is full time professor at University of Economics in Bratislava. She obtained her PhD. in Finance at the University of Economics in Bratislava. Her fields of specialisation are public finance and economics of tertiary sector.

Role in the project: Her role in the project is to contribute to the analysis of EU budget expenditures, she will be a co-author of one of the proposed policy papers. She is also coordinator of Jean Monnet Centre activities at Slovakia.
